National Academy of Principals

National Academy of Canada's Outstanding Principals

Each year the winners of Canada’s Outstanding Principals become members of a National Academy of Principals, a pan-Canadian learning community of 300 Canada’s Outstanding Principals™ alumni.

The National Academy of Canada’s Outstanding Principals creates a learning community of outstanding principals across Canada who can share professionally, interact collegially and act as mentors to new colleagues. It provides avenues for research and sharing of best practices. As part of this Academy, these leading principals continue their development through an online forum with professionally facilitated modules.

Throughout the year, these outstanding principals participate in ongoing discussions about leadership issues through an online forum and are involved in mentoring colleagues in their home schools. They actively collaborate in developing and communicating about issues important to publicly funded education with support from The Learning Partnership.

The Academy members are eligible to return to a special Executive Leadership course each year, scheduled around the Canada's Outstanding Principals gala
